Metodje is a well-known holy place on Kopaonik, which tourists can reach by a forest path from April until the beginning of heavy snowfall.
A walk along the path to the sanctuary of Metođe is a special experience for everyone because it passes through the forest and untouched areas of Kopaonik.
The Church of Metođe was built in the third century – on the wall is a fresco of St. Metodije, and on a piece of stone a picture of the Mother of God with the little Christ.
For centuries, every July 3, on the day of St. Hieromartyr Metodije, in this holy place a strong world gathers, comes to the cave, prays to God and from a small waterfall of water that springs in the church itself seeks a cure for various ailments and weaknesses.
