Raška 06.06.2021 The manifestation “Days of Queen Jelena” will be held from June 11 to 13 in Raška and the gates of the Gradac monastery.
The event, which has been an integral part of the rich cultural offer of the municipality of Raska since 2006, is dedicated to Queen Jelena, who was the wife of Serbian King Uroš I and the mother of kings Dragutin and Milutin. Even today, so many centuries later, Queen Jelena attracts as much attention as she received during her life. Her character and works are a great inspiration to artists.
“In that spirit, through a series of cultural and artistic events such as art exhibitions, book promotions, workshops, theater performances, music programs, our event we want to remind the importance of the great Serbian queen and educator, who nurtured literacy, culture, tradition and creativity and we present the culture and history of the Raska region in an original way. ” – say the organizers of the event.
Famous artists, writers, clergymen, actors, musicians have been participating in the event all these years.

The organizers of the event are the Tourist Organization of Raska, the Cultural Center “Gradac” and the sisterhood of the Gradac Monastery.
