At the beginning of June, on June 5 and 6, 2021, the Republic Mountaineering Action “MEETING OF MOUNTAINEERS ON KOPAONIK 2021” will be held on Kopaonik, organized by the Mountaineering and Ski Association “Kopaonik” Belgrade.
ACTION PLAN
SATURDAY, June 5, 2021
Opening of the mountaineering action on the plateau in front of the home of SPD “Kopaonik” from 08:00 to 08:30.
MOUNTAINEERING TOURS
Main trail: Mountaineering transversal “Josif Pančić” – western part
The start is at 08:30. The tour is strenuous and requires good physical preparation.
Mountain House “Kopaonik” (1720 m) – Baciste (1630 m) – Ladiste (1379 m) -Hajducka voda (1592 m) – Crossroads (1514 m) – Kukavica (1726 m) – Kadijevac, picnic area on the Samokov river (1390 m) ), where there is a short break, – Pasha’s baciste (1516 m above sea level) – Rvatske Bacije (1650 m above sea level) – Jaram (1788 m above sea level) – pl. home of SPD “Kopaonik” (1720 m above sea level).
The length of the trail is 28 kilometers. The time required to master the trail is about 10 hours.
The total height difference during ascent and descent is about 1400 meters.
Alternative trail no. 1: Jelovarnik Waterfall.
The start is at 9:00 AM. Moderately strenuous hiking tour.
Mountain House (1720 m above sea level) – Pajino preslo (1804 m above sea level) – Nebeske stolice – Crkvište (1793 m above sea level) – Jelovarnik waterfall (1000 m above sea level) – Mramor (monument 1127 m above sea level).
The length of the trail is about 15 kilometers. The time required to master the trail is about 5 hours.
The total height difference, mostly in the descent, is about 800 meters.
Return by bus from the monument to the home of PSD “Kopaonik”.
Alternative trail no. 2: Cod – Spike
The start is at 9:00 AM. Easy hiking tour.
Mountain House (1720 m above sea level) – Krst – tourist resort Treska – Šiljak (1622 m above sea level) – Suvo rudište (1757 m above sea level) – Mountain House (1720 m above sea level).
The length of the trail is about 13 kilometers. The time required to master the trail is about 4 hours.
The height difference that needs to be overcome is a total of about 400 meters.
SUNDAY, June 6, 2021
Main trail: Mountaineering transversal “Josif Pancic” – eastern part
The start is at 08:00. The tour is strenuous and requires good physical preparation.
Mountain House (1720 m) – Gobelja (1934 m) – Geyser (1320 m) – Gvozdac – Ledenice (1870 m) – Karaman (1904 m) – Pajino preslo (1804 m) – Suvo rudiste (1976 m) – mountain home (1720 m above sea level).
The length of the trail is about 16 kilometers. The time required to master the trail is about 6 hours.
The total height difference during ascent and descent is about 1900 meters.
Alternative trail no. 1: Kopaonik – Pančićev vrh (2017 above sea level), laying a wreath at the mausoleum of Josif Pančić
The start is at 8.30 am. Moderately strenuous hiking tour. Mountain house (1720 m above sea level) – Pajino preslo (1804 m above sea level) – Suvo rudište (1976 m above sea level) -Pančićev vrh (2017 m above sea level), laying a wreath on the grave of Josip Pančić (around 30 minutes) – Sunčana padina (tourist resort Konaci) – mountaineering house (1720 m above sea level). The length of the trail is about 12 kilometers. The time required to master the trail is about 4 hours.
The height difference that needs to be overcome is a total of about 600 meters.
Alternative trail no. 2: Walk along the “Mushroom Trail”
The start is at 9:00 AM. Easy hiking tour. Mountain house (1720 m above sea level) – mushroom trail – Jaram (1778 m above sea level) – road to Kadijevac – animal feed – Markov kamen (1721 m above sea level) – mountain lodge (1720 m above sea level).
The length of the trail is about 12 kilometers. The time needed to master it is about 4 hours.
The height difference that needs to be overcome is a total of about 70 meters.
It is expected that all participants in the action, from all trails, will arrive at the House of PSD “Kopaonik” around 14:00, while at 16:00 it is planned to close RA “Meeting of mountaineers on Kopaonik 2021”.
PSD “Kopaonik” is organizing the action, in the year when it marks the 50th anniversary of its existence and successful work, according to the calendar of activities of the Mountaineering Association of Serbia for 2021, and with the help of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia.
