On Kopaonik, the end of the summer season 2020 on Sunday, October 4

Kopaonik, October 1, 2020 The summer season in the mountain center Kopaonik ends on Sunday, October 4, after 107 days of work. The ski resorts of Serbia have achieved exceptional business results in a little more than 3 months of work, and the record of attendance has been broken since there are summer facilities on this mountain.

Since June 18, when the mountain center started operating this summer, the traffic has been 2.7 times higher than last year. This number is followed by the number of visitors, which is also significantly increased compared to the summer before. The most visited day on Kopaonik was recorded on August 2, when more than 4,300 tourists used the summer facilities.

Extremely interesting contents, pleasant temperatures and a completely secured and safe destination with respect to all precautionary measures recommended by doctors and competent institutions have contributed to making Kopaonik one of the most visited tourist destinations in Serbia this summer. This summer, visitors could enjoy hiking tours, bob sled on the riles, panoramic cable car rides or try adventurous riding of electric bicycles or mountain bikes and mountain carts with family and friends. For those who want to stay in shape until the next winter season, the summer ski trail was open all summer, and during four weekends, promo prices were organized for summer facilities.

After a very successful summer, the Ski Resorts of Serbia are intensifying preparations for the winter season, during which they will delight skiers and boarders with new contents. As many as three new trails are just some of the novelties prepared on Kopaonik, and the construction of the Brzeće-Mali Karaman gondola, which is the most important project for Serbian tourism, is being accelerated.

In addition to activities on the construction of novelties in the ski center Kopaonik, Ski Resorts of Serbia and the Ski Association of Serbia are preparing the organization of the European Cup for skiers in slalom and giant slalom, which will be held on the Duboka trail from 22 to 26 February 2021. This very important ski event is already on the calendar of the World Ski Federation (FIS).
