A new species of butterfly was found in the Kopaonik National Park after longer field and laboratory research conducted by Dr. Dejan V. Stojanović and his team of collaborators.
The new species of butterfly was named Heterogynis serbica and is an extremely important find at the world level because it is a stenoendemite and as such a species is important for the entire entomofauna.
