Kopaonik 03/06/2022 Members of the Helicopter Unit of the Ministry of the Interior, Mountain Rescue Service and employees of the Public Company “Ski Resorts of Serbia” conducted a joint exercise on March 4, on Kopaonik, in which they demonstrated readiness, ability and knowledge to react in situations when rescue human life priority.
Eight rescuers from the Mountain Rescue Service participated in the exercise.
“Our rescuers evacuated the injured worker from the gondola stairs, and showed new equipment for evacuation from the cable cars and gondolas. “This joint cooperation really raises the safety of skiers and tourists in the mountains of Serbia to the level of large tourist centers abroad,” said Aleksandar Ravas, rescuer of the Mountain Rescue Service.
“Since this winter season, for the first time on Kopaonik, as well as in all other world ski centers, based on the agreement signed between the Ministry of Interior, Mountain Rescue Service and Ski Resorts of Serbia, injured skiers are timely and fast, joint action of these three services , they are transported to a health institution where they are immediately provided with adequate help and care “, said the Minister of Police, Aleksandar Vulin, who attended the exercises on Kopaonik.
