Mushroom Days on Kopaonik 2021 – an event aimed at gathering nature lovers, hiking, mushrooms and mushroom products will be held on September 3rd and 4th.
Participants can compete in mushroom picking and preparation of mushroom dishes whose quality is evaluated by an expert jury in several categories. At the closing ceremony of the event, along with the cultural and artistic program, the most difficult mushroom on Kopaonik is announced, as well as the most successful competitors in various disciplines of preparing mushroom dishes for which prizes have been provided.

Friday, September 3rd
09:00 – 14:00 Organized mushroom picking
(with guides from the National Park “Kopaonik” and the regional mushroom society “Kopaonik” from Raska)
10:00 – 20:00 Offer of mushroom products from the Kopaonik surrounding area
15:00 – Determination of collected mushrooms (hall NP Kopaonik)
17:00 – Lecture on nature protection and mushroom habitat
Saturday, September 4th
10:00 – 20:00 Mushroom exhibition
10:00 – 20:00 Offer of mushroom products from the Kopaonik surrounding area
10:00 – ” Photo safari ” – walking tour
12:00 – Competition in the preparation of mushroom dishes in the categories: cold appetizers, soup dishes and barbecue – tray
14:00 – Cultural and artistic program
15:00 – Evaluation of competitors
17:00 – Lecture on nature protection and mushroom habitat
In the week of the event (September 30 to 4, until 12:00), every day there will be measurement and recording of found mushrooms in categories I and II, with the aim of competing and awarding prizes for the most difficult mushroom on Kopaonik.
During the event, there will be a permanent exhibition of mushrooms from Kopaonik in the presence of educators from the Kopaonik National Park and representatives of the mushroom association.
