The Extraordinary Election Assembly of the Ski Association of Serbia is scheduled for December 26, 2024, at the initiative of the members, it was announced on the website of the Ski Association of Serbia.
The assembly will be held in Belgrade with the aim of resolving key organizational issues, including the election of new executive bodies that will lead the association in the coming years.
The elections will elect: the president, members of the Executive and Supervisory Boards, as well as members of the Disciplinary Commission.
Nevena Ignjatović has been proposed as the official candidate for the first president of the Ski Association of Serbia. As a four-time participant in the Winter Olympics and over 100 appearances in the World Cup, she is positioned as the most successful competitor in Serbian skiing. Nevena could become the first woman to head the Ski Association of Serbia ever.

Nevena Ignjatović is a Serbian alpine skier born in the heart of Serbia, in Kragujevac, in 1990. In addition to her status as the best skier in the history of Serbian skiing, her title is Master of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration – FEFA.
She took her first skiing steps in her fourth year on Kopaonik as a member of the Radnički Elite ski club. Since her first start in FIS races, Nevena has won over 100 medals in international competitions, 35 of which are gold.
She has placed in the top 30 of the best female skiers in World Cup races 17 times, and her best finish is 6th place in the World Cup in alpine combined
She was part of the Olympic team in 2010 in Vancouver, 2014 in Sochi, 2018 in South Korea (when she was also the flag bearer) and 2022 in Beijing.
