Ski safety, compliance with the rules of trail behavior and the importance of trained people who can help injured skiers at any time are just some of the values promoted by Mountain Rescue Service rescuers. On this behalf, now traditional, this skiing competition is organized.
For the first time, Mountain Rescue Service rescuers also competed in a ski-turing race. Cross-country skiing is a skiing discipline that enables effective climbing with cross-country skiing. For GSS rescuers, this type of skiing is very important as it can significantly reduce the time of arrival to an injured skier or mountaineer.
GSS of Serbia has been providing ski centers since the day of their opening: on Kopaonik since 1980, on Stara planina since 2006 and on Zlatibor since 2007. Currently, the Mountain Rescue Service has approximately 300 active members.
The Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia thanks the sponsors: Mozzart, Viceroy, Balan Imuno, Mars, Zlatiborac.
