Although the ski season has already opened on December 2, 2023, the traditional official opening of the new ski season 2023/2024. on Kopaonik, the favorite destination of the entire region, began on December 7 with the traditional event Ski Opening Kopaonik, which this year is marked by excellent skiing and a varied and rich program. For all skiers and boarders, the Ski Resorts of Serbia have prepared ski tracks Karaman Greben, Mašinac, Krst, Malo Jezero and a training ground for beginners, as well as fun activities such as bobsleigh, tubing and zip line. About 2,000 skiers and boarders already skied on the first day of the Ski Opening.
The peaks of Kopaonik have turned white, and the forecasts are for the joy of all fans of skiing and mountain tourism. Temperatures in the minus allow the systems for artificial refreshment to work at full capacity, so that the first skiing of this season will take place in full glory and meet the expectations of more than 10 thousand visitors who open the season on the roof of Serbia every year.
On the first day, skiing was free, and for the next three days, a 30% discount on ski tickets and entertainment was provided. Like many world ski destinations, the Ski Opening on Kopaonik is accompanied by an integrated entertainment program and all-day activities aimed at an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
Already on the first evening, the guests at the Ski Opening had the opportunity to see off the spectacular night descent with torches in which members of the Ski Resorts of Serbia and the Mountain Rescue Service participated. And in addition to skiing, Dolina sportova (Valley of sports) is this year a gathering place for the best domestic DJs who will mark the beginning of the winter magic on Kopaonik with the sounds of good music. At the same time, renowned manufacturers of ski equipment allow visitors to test the latest models on the spot, and the most famous hotels will spice up the atmosphere with tempting winter flavors.
Guests can also visit the interactive exhibition about Nikola Tesla, which was officially opened in the organization of the Raška Tourist Organization and the Nikola Tesla Museum in Villa Ras on Kopaonik.
