Dani vrganja on Kopaonik – an event that aims to gather nature lovers, hiking, mushrooms and mushroom products in 2020, will be held from September 4 to 6.
Participants can compete in mushroom picking and mushroom cooking in several categories whose quality is evaluated by an expert jury.
At the closing ceremony of the event, along with the cultural and artistic program, the most difficult mushroom on Kopaonik is announced, as well as the most successful competitors in various disciplines of preparing mushroom dishes for which prizes have been provided.

9 am – Departure for organized mushroom picking with guides from the National Park “Kopaonik” and the regional mushroom society “Kopaonik from Raska”
10 am – 8 pm – Offer of mushroom products from the Kopaonik region
3 pm – Determination of found mushrooms and preparation of the exhibition
5 pm – Lecture on nature and mushroom habitat protection

11 am – Lectures on mushrooms organized by the Mycological Mushroom Association of Serbia
During the competition in the preparation of dishes, which is organized at “Vatrište”, in the Valley of Sports, the ethno offer of the Kopaonik area (home-made products, traditional dishes, etc.) will be presented.
In the week of the event (from August 31 to September 5 until 12 noon), every day there will be measurement and recording of found mushrooms in categories I and II, and in order to compete and award prizes for the heaviest mushroom on Kopaonik.
During the event, there will be a permanent exhibition of mushrooms from Kopaonik in the presence of educators from the Kopaonik National Park and representatives of the mushroom association.
