Kopaonik Business Forum 2022 from 6 to 9 March

Kopaonik 05.03.2022 – Kopaonik Business Forum 2022 will be held from March 6 to 9 on Kopaonik, and the central topic is Serbia 2030: Sustainable Development Agenda.

“Starting from the fact that Serbia participated in the drafting of the 2030 Agenda, which was adopted at the UN Assembly, and that, together with other signatory countries, it undertook to meet the defined goals, we considered it necessary to reaffirm this important topic,” said organizers of the 29th Kopaonik Business Forum at the announcement press conference.

Kopaonik Business Forum is organized by the Association of Economists of Serbia, and as in previous years, this year’s official partner of the event is the company Mastercard.

Serbian Davos will gather political, economic and academic personalities in our country, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia. Also, the participation was confirmed by the representatives of international financial institutions, then the presidents of the chambers of commerce of the countries of the region, as well as the most important businessmen from our country and the region from the financial and real sector. The special guest of this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum will be Carlos Alvarez-Pereira, vice-president of the Club of Rome, who will talk about the post-vision of the new normalcy.

During four days, 33 panels will be held with 200 panelists, and 8 plenary speeches are planned. The Association of Economists of Serbia gives high priority to the health, safety and security of all participants and organizes the event itself in accordance with respect for the current epidemiological situation. The number of applications for participation in the Forum is limited to 1000, and the schedule and structure of the panel will be organized in accordance with all epidemiological and health and safety measures.

“Although the number of participants has been reduced this year, in order to comply with all epidemiological measures, the Forum will bring together very interesting panelists who will try to provide answers to the most important economic and social challenges we face on the path to sustainable development. In addition to macroeconomic analysis and forecasts for 2022 for the Western Balkans region, the Forum will also focus on panels dedicated to the analysis of the public health sector and the impact of COVID-19 on sustainable health financing in Serbia. As a continuation of the previous Forums, this year we will deal with the “fight for talent”, Industry 4.0 and the challenges of digital transformation, geopolitical issues for the Western Balkans, the importance of regional cooperation for sustainable growth and development, energy and green transition, agricultural sustainability, agriculture Dragijana Radonjic Petrovic, vice president of the Association of Economists of Serbia, said that the upcoming Forum will justify the reputation of the most important and most important regional gathering of business, economic and political elite.

We will realize our commitment to small and medium enterprises through support for the National Initiative for Cashless Payments: A Better Way, which is an excellent example of a public-private partnership that supports the efforts of the Serbian Government in the fight against the gray economy. “

On the first day of the Forum, now traditionally, in addition to macroeconomic policies, two panels dedicated to the Digital Serbia Initiative are planned. The addressing of the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, is planned for the last day of the Forum. For the first time at the Forum, young people will have the opportunity to highlight what they expect from the business community, what challenges they face in the labor market, how to acquire new knowledge and practical skills necessary for entrepreneurship.
