Today, two ski competitions of Mountain Rescue Services from Serbia and the region will be held on Kopaonik – during the GSS ski touring day and from 17:00 GSS ski night race
For the first time, an open-air ski-turing race will be organized. Cross-country skiing is a skiing discipline that enables effective climbing with cross-country skiing. For GSS rescuers, this type of skiing is very important as it can significantly reduce the time of arrival to an injured skier or mountaineer.
Rescuers from Serbia, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro will compete. They will display their skills in the ski and rescue disciplines, as well as in skiing and boating down the track, all the way to the finish.
The already traditional ski competition between Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) of Serbia and mountain rescue services from the region will be organized on Saturday, February 22nd, at the Karaman Greben Night Trail, starting at 5pm. The race is of a revial character.
